I just love being an Engagement Photographer Dartmoor, it is the most incredible location to photograph couples. Today we wandered out onto the open moors but didn’t expect the weather to be so dramatic. Sun, hail, snow and little drop of drizzle and then back to glorious sunshine again…gotta love Dartmoor. Lucy and Adam you were a dream to work with, thank you for a fab morning!

We just wanted to say a massive thank you for this morning, the photos are absolutely amazing! Thank you so so much, we love them!! Today has made us even more excited for the big day!  It was definitely an adventure to remember!

Being an engagement photographer Dartmoor, I’m used to working in these conditions it actually made the session more fun as we ran for cover and then drove a little further to outrun the hail storms. Lucy and Adam booked their wedding with me last year and wanted to feel at ease infront of the camera so they booked an Engagement session with me. It was so much fun and I think Lucy and Adam realised that having your picture taken doesn’t have to be a chore. We don’t do any cheesing into camera, just lots of walking, chatting and a ton of laughing. Lucy and Adam feel like friends now, I literally can’t wait to see them on their wedding day!

My style and approach for an Engagement session is the same as I approach taking your images on your wedding day. I give you a little gentle direction but I really do let your love and personalities shine through.  The first 10 or 15 minutes can feel a little strange as its probably the first time most people have had a portrait session before but after a while lots of clients just relax into it and enjoy having some quality time together. Most couple really enjoy the experience so on the wedding day, its a total breeze!
