South Hams Barn Wedding – Sophie and Alex

When I found out Sophie and Alex were getting married and having a South Hams Barn wedding, I was so excited. I have know Sophie for about 5 years when I first photographed her for an editorial. We have been friends ever since. I just knew I had to shoot their wedding, Sophie is an absolute delight and has an authentic charming style and love for nature, light, autumn, pumpkins, animals and Halloween which is her absolute favourite time of year. So it was no surprise that their wedding was booked for October and filled with all things magical. They chose a little venue on the outskirts of Plymouth in the South Hams at New Barton Barns, the location is amazing set just back from the coastal path with far reaching views over Plymouth Sound and the River Yealm. I love working in the South Hams as a wedding photographer, the scenery is pretty amazing, river and coastal views but also the beauty of the countryside, I certainly feel lucky to live in this part of the world.
